Life as a River
Are you an Embezzler?

Embezzlement is the act of dishonestly withholding assets for the purpose of personally possessing such assets, when the assets were entrusted to you to manage on behalf of the owner. Often it involves the trusted individual embezzling only a small proportion or fraction of the total of the funds or resources he/she receives.
The key to embezzlement is that the individual takes resources that are owned by someone else - ( perhaps, entrusted to them to steward) - and makes them theirs to use and control.

JUST A THOUGHT
- Because I believe that God owns it all. ( Psalm 24:1)
- Because I believe that everything I have comes from Him. (Romans 11:36)
- Because I believe that I am to be the Steward or Trustee of God's resources. (I Peter 4:10 & others)
Therefore. if and when I consider that all I have is mine, and it is mine to control - even when I apportion it out to worthy causes - have I not become an Embezzler?
Maybe it is time to take a quick audit of the 'Resources, Time & Talents' that I posses - that are stored in my reservoir, and double check to see if even in small ways, I just might be guilty of Embezzlement?
