Which is it?

I kept running into this guy this past week as my wife and I were in Branson, Missouri. It brought to my mind the question of everyone who loves food - "Do I live to EAT, or do I eat to LIVE"? Of course, most of us would answer that we eat to LIVE. Yet, I am not so sure I am always honest with myself on that one - particularly after a week where there is Lambert's [the home of the throwed rolls], Danna's [the best hamburger in Branson], Starvin Marvin's [best buffet in town]...... well you get the idea!
This triggered another 'Thought to Ponder'

You have probably heard the phrase, 'You live and then you die'. What a sad and fatalistic view of life. It got me to thinking. "Do I live to DIE, or do I DIE to live"? It depends upon your view of eternity doesn't it? Am I living according to the view that it is all about the present - the earth - 'you only live once, so go for it' etc. Or you can say with the apostle Paul, 'To live is Christ and to die is gain" Phil 1:21 And, in my dying I receive eternal life - life forever. Now that is life worth dying for. Lord, may it be that I daily die so that I might live.
So, which is it?
Live to EAT or EAT to Live?
Live to DIE or DIE to Live?
Live to EAT or EAT to Live?
Live to DIE or DIE to Live?
