Life as a River
"The world is small and the
battle we wage is fierce"

"... there will be a time of great persecution.
You will be dragged into synagogues
and prisons, and you will stand trial before
kings and governors because you are my followers"
Luke 21; 12

I was just reminded today of how small our world is and what a great and fierce battle is being waged. Most of you who will read this post will say.... 'oh yes, that's true for so many 'over there', but like me, we have no way to relate it to what is 'over there'.

Today I received an email from a person in a nation that I frequent often, telling me of events that could lead to the imprisonment and even death of a friend who just three weeks ago challenged me to Sound the Alarm, to Persevere, to stay Focused, to be stirred, and to allow God to do the extraordinary through me.

I will not go into detail, but only to say to you, please be in earnest prayer for this person, as they are on the front lines of the 'war'.

Thank you Lord for reminding me that we are in the last days, that the Spirit is moving, and that the battle is raging. I cannot simply close my eyes and ears to this reality. It may not have reached my neighborhood or personal space yet, but it is all about me. It is all over the world, and it is real. Be with my friend today - as I know you are. Be with his family - as I know you are. And may your will be done even this day.

The battle is raging and  I must:

1. Blow the Trumpet
2. Persevere
3. Stay Focused

4. Hear and Obey
5. Allow God to do the
extraordinary through me.
